Meet Our Staff: Dr. David Wenger-Keller
Dr. David C. Wenger-Keller, MD began practicing medicine at a National Health Service Corps physician-underserved-area site at Ironton, Ohio in 1981. After that, Dr. Wenger-Keller moved to Ft. Madison Iowa in 1986, where he has practiced ever since. June, 2000 saw the opening of a second office in Burlington, Iowa. He is board certified in Family Medicine and is Chief of Staff at Ft. Madison Community Hospital. Dr. Wenger-Keller knew he wanted to practice medicine from a very young age. His mother was a nurse and his father a hospital administrator. As a child he enjoyed reading books about medical history and missionary doctors. "My parents taught me faith without works is dead...............and one of the best ways to act on that truth is to help people heal." Dr. Wenger-Keller attended medical school and completed his residency at the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo. Forty percent of his practice is devoted to the evaluation and treatment of allergies and asthma, including food and bee sting allergy. He is a member of the American College of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Wenger-Keller takes the time to listen to patients' concerns and answer any questions they might have. "I love what I do and intend to practice until I am eighty five." Dr. Wenger-Keller, his nurse practitioners and staff want to make sure your health is taken care of and all your needs and concerns are addressed. His favorite word of encouragement comes from the book of Samuel in the Old Testament: "and David encouraged and strengthened himself in his God." |
